We collaborated with Urithi Hostels in Juja to upgrade their traditional electricity billing system. We installed electricity meters in approximately 600 units, allowing students hosted to purchase tokens upfront. Managers were not only concerned about student disputes but also had to pay the large electricity bills out of pocket. This had continued for months.
